A short movie, depicting the poem Maika by young cameroonian poet Francois Assoumou , from his book, au bout de mon songe vaste. Assoumou was a cameroonian poet who died at the age of 16. Prior to his death he wrote a collection of poem which was printed after his death by his parents. All his writings carry the scent of the spiritual, the invisible and the unknown. The poem Maika which deals with the young poet sudden death and spiritual awakening is translated into german sign language and brought to life via black light as to visualize the lifting of the veil between the spiritual and the physical world.

Excerpt by Aicha Diallo.

Elsa M‘bala provided the sound for the Berlin Biennale 10 trailer.
