Addis‘63

A multidisciplinary project exploring notions of spirituality, music and identity.

The performance Addis’63 (2016) is based on a speech given by Kwame Nkrumah in mai 1963 at the African Union in Addis Abeba. Using except from his speech and sounds from the actual capital of Ethiopia, the issue with an embodied Pan africanistic thought process is put on display. The questions being if in our technological driven world, we make it an habit to internalize concepts without ever learning how those are practicable in our daily lives.
